Created for a period of five years (2012-2016), the International Joint Laboratory (LMI) “Water Heritage and Territories” (LMI PATEO) is co-directed by the LEIDI laboratory (UGB) and the UMR PALOC, part of the IRD. PATEO is a joint research and teaching platform on the governance of the three transboundary deltas in the West African sub-region (Senegal River, Saloum-Niumi and Casamance-Geba). It aims to create reliable, up-to-date geographical information banks at the delta level in order to support all types of local sustainable development initiatives through innovative actions.
